When Frank Costin designed the Open red sports racing car prototype in
1965, I never imagined it would generate so much interest. It was an
ambitious project that required a lot of hard work and dedication, but it was
worth it.
50 years later after a ‘Barn find’ the very dilapidated prototype wreck was
sold at the prestigious Chateaux Impney Auction in June 2016, where the
bidding reached an astonishing £80,000. It was both a proud and exciting
moment for me and a future testament to the many hundreds of hours put
in by the dedicated expert restoration team.
